My sweet daughter caring for her sick rat. This is the photo that I picked today because it weighed so heavy on my own heart.

Tonight I went to Lake Del Valle to watch the sunset. At first I felt a little disappointed with my images. After walking away from the computer, I returned to find a couple images that would do. So here you go.
After 57 years my Grandma lost her best friend. My Grandpa lost his fight to lung cancer. This was his 4th kind of cancer. The first three he beat. He had skin, breast and prostate cancer. He was such a strong proud man. He could fix anything. For some reason during the last week I began to see beauty. I never expected to see beauty at such a dark time. The special bond between my grandparents was just unexplainable.
So after a long day of complaining about the rain.......this!!! I was sitting with my family eating dinner when a rainbow appeared out the back window. I grabbed another bite of food then grabbed the camera. I took a couple shots and looked at the play back......To my surprise there were two rainbows. I was even more excited. I just love when I am reminded about the beauty that can come from even the rainiest of days.
